Frequently Asked Questions

Metal stamping transforms flat metal sheets into specific shapes and is common in items like cars and appliances. It’s also used for large machinery parts. The process varies by need; fourslide stamping provides intricate cuts, while progressive die stamping is more cost-effective for high volumes.

High-volume production provides major benefits for aerospace, automotive, and other large industries. These include increased speed, reduced scrap, quicker setups, and the ability to produce various geometries in one process. It also ensures high repeatability, longer production runs, and lower costs per part.

Depending on your project, you may choose between progressive die stamping and fourslide metal stamping. If cost efficiency is your priority, progressive die stamping could be the better option, as it produces a complete part from a single press, minimizing the need for multiple expensive machines. On the other hand, fourslide metal stamping features horizontal alignment and four slides, allowing simultaneous work on a blank to create a functioning part. This method mimics the intricate cuts of progressive dies and enhances high-volume production capabilities.

Lead time depends on quantity, size, and complexity. For high-volume stamping, simple bends for 50,000 parts can be done in weeks, while complex parts may take up to 10 weeks.
